Our Story
In 1993, on the way home from their honeymoon, Dave made a bold decision—he was quitting his job to start his own company. With nothing but hand tools and his dad’s borrowed truck, he knocked on doors, handed out flyers, and ran service calls wherever he could.
Hard work and determination fueled the journey. From a $300 supply house credit to managing 40 stores for FirstServiceNetwork, Dave steadily built Armstrong’s into the trusted name it is today.
By 2003, Armstrong’s had its own office and sheet metal shop, allowing the team to craft custom ductwork in-house. Through the years, the business has grown, but the values remain the same—quality work, honest service, and treating every customer like family.
An Indiana Family Legacy in HVAC
Heating and cooling run deep in the Armstrong family. Dave, now with over 40 years of experience, built the company from the ground up. His wife, Michelle, keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes.
All three of their sons have served or continue to serve in the Army National Guard and Air National Guard. Matt, Joe, and Jon have each forged their own paths in life—but all carry the same dedication to hard work and service.
Matt has taken his expertise and started his own HVAC company in Evansville, while Jon is stepping into a bigger role within Armstrong’s, helping to carry the family business into the future. From a young age, all three boys yearned to be involved—sometimes as soon as they could walk, they were eager to learn and help wherever they could.
